Performance improvement: At the highest energy impacts, based on 7 to 9 mph for a large runner, Brooks testing shows the TPE-based system provides a 30-50 percent improvement in cushioning over traditional systems.
Switching to Avient's GLS™ TPEs enabled Brooks to move to a single injection molding process, yielding a 30-40 percent reduction in energy usage and a projected savings of $80,000 to $100,000 annually.

Based on expertise in reducing weight and improving portability of mast structures and antennas for the military, Rolatube engineers realized the legs of the tripod could be designed to roll into a compact and portable coil, eliminating the complexity and added weight of telescopic hardware.
The tripod designers consulted with the advanced composite product experts at Avient, and trialed several formulations of Polystrand™ continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites.
The thermoplastic polymer base resin used also enables recyclability to support the company’s sustainability goals.
