Avient introduces the Syncure™ XLPE 200 Series, cross-linkable polyethylene formulations with a DBDPE-free alternative to traditional flame-retardant materials for low voltage cable systems. The Syncure XLPE 200 Series provides a DBDPE-free alternative while providing comparable performance to Avient’s traditional XLPE materials, including excellent flame performance and UL 44 compliance. The Syncure™ XLPE 200 Series is manufactured in the U.S. and commercially available globally.

reSound™ REC Recycled Content TPEs – AF 7210 Series Recycled TPEs for Automotive Interiors Sustainability continues to be a key driver in the automotive industry. Developed in response to the increased need for recycled materials the AF 7210 series of reSound™ REC TPEs incorporates a minimum of 51% recycled content, 37% from post-consumer recycled (PCR) sources, including closed-loop feedstock. KEY CHARACTERISTICS • Contains 51–59% recycled content, with a minimum of 37% from PCR sources, including closed-loop feedstock • Provides comparable performance to virgin TPEs - Good UV stability - Meets VIAQ standards for odor and fogging • Supports compliance with the ELV Directive • Provides a more sustainable alternative to virgin TPE grades and supports a reduction in product carbon footprint (PCF) • Can be injection molded and overmolded onto PP KEY APPLICATIONS The reSound REC TPEs – AF 7210 series has been developed for use in automotive interior applications such as cup holder mats, phone charging mats, peddle covers, boot/trunk lining, HVAC flaps and other center console parts.

Capillary viscosity was mea- sured at 200�C using a Dynisco™ 7000 series capillary rheometer (Dynisco Instruments LLC, Franklin, Massa- chusetts) with a 15:1 L/D, 120� die geometry; a Bagley correction was applied. Developed in response to the growing demand for improved sustainability in transportation, this reSound REC 7310 product series meets common automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and fogging. These initial grades in the series are 80 and 90 Shore A durometers and contain 35 or 45% PCR content from recycled food packaging. The reSound REC 7310 product series is manufactured and available in North America.
