NYSE: POL), a leading global provider of specialized polymer materials, services and sustainable solutions, has completed its purchase of the color masterbatch businesses of Clariant and Clariant Chemicals India Ltd.   The Clariant Masterbatch business includes 46 manufacturing operations and technology centers in 29 countries and approximately 3,500 employees, who will join Avient's Color, Additives and Inks segment.

The new operations, located in the area’s Ranjangaon industrial zone, manufactures specialty solid masterbatch and liquid color and additive formulations. In today’s opening ceremony event entitled “Come See The Difference,” customers participated in tours, color matching demonstrations and other sessions that showcased how PolyOne differentiates its products and services in the specialty marketplace.

The acquired business joins PolyOne’s Global Color, Additives and Inks segment, and provides specialty coatings solutions and value-added services in a wide range of applications, including consumer products, interior and under-the-hood automotive parts, outdoor recreational equipment and food packaging. These formulations effectively replace the previous prime materials used by Hager, meeting the required technical specifications, including coloration to specific RAL colors, while also providing good resistance to ultraviolet (UV) light, scratches, and impacts.
