Initial production will include specialty engineered polymer materials used in high performance applications that have the need for flame retardant properties, high strength and durability, stiffness, chemical resistance, or weatherability.

Landscape lighting manufacturers have historically shied away from polymers due to the challenges of temperature extremes and weather exposure in outdoor settings.

In addition, the base polymer is inherently resistant to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, harsh weather, oil, and gasoline.

Formulations can pass weathering standard ASTM G154 and AATCC 186, and fire resistance standard FMVSS302.  

Our full range of material solutions include photovoltaic wire and cable that enable renewable energy infrastructure, superior UV weathering protection for solar power installations, and continuous fiber-reinforced composites for structural wind turbine components.  

Permanently outside, they have high weather and UV resistance, maintain mechanical performance over a wide range of temperatures and offer good electrical and flame retardant performance. KEY CHARACTERISTICS UV and Weather Resistance - ECCOH XL 8148 solutions are suitable for permanent outdoor use. They have outstanding UV and weather resistance, passing Arrhenius lifetime prediction tests of 20,000 hours as per the IEC 60216-1 standard.
