Design,
functionality, asthetics, performance needs and value addition have opened the rigid substrate
selection from commodity plastics to various engineering thermoplastics and their alloys.
The current
paper offers a novel robust TPE material selection for overmolding on to Polyamide.
NYLON MOLDING PROCESS
Bonding is also affected by mold design and nylon molding conditions.

FIBER-LINE® PACKING YARN PRODUCTS
• Braided compression packing
• Packing rings
• Packing materials for pumps and valves
Overview
• FIBER-LINE® offers a broad range of continuous filament yarn and
performance additives for braided compression packing yarn.
We
combine the yarn and coatings to create unique products designed
to add performance to meet your exact requirement.
• FIBER-LINE® packing yarn are designed to improve the performance
versus finished braid coatings, yielding time and cost savings.
• Coating at the filament level allows the various resins to penetrate
the fiber bundle before the yarn are braided.

They allow complex designs without expensive
tooling and customizable performance
characteristics (density, corrosion and chemical
resistance, mechanical performance), depending
on application need.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
• Customized density offering a wide range of
specific gravities (1.2–11 gm/cm3)
• Based on recycled resin from PIR and PCR
sources
• Broad modulus range, from very flexible to very
rigid grades
• Corrosion resistance that withstands oxidization
for long-term use and benefit
• Chemical resistance can be adapted depending
on base resin as required
• Provides visual surface effects, aesthetics, and
cool touch
• Design flexibility and processing ease
MARKETS AND APPLICATIONS
Applications in packaging and consumer goods in
which a more sustainable solution is preferred:
• Cosmetic caps and closures
• Perfume caps
• Spirit bottle caps
• Luxury boxes
• Handles and knobs
SUSTAINABILITY BENEFITS
• Formulated with recycled resin from
post-industrial recycled (PIR) and/or
post-consumer recycled (PCR) sources including
ocean bound plastic waste
• Reduces waste and supports the circular
economy
• Reduces carbon footprint compared to fossil
feedstock alternatives
• Simplifies manufacturing and lowers costs
versus metal

PRODUCT BULLETIN
ColorMatrix™ Optica™
PET Blue Toners & Colors For Enhanced Recyclability
ColorMatrix™ Optica™ patented liquid blue toners
and colors are formulated for improved heat
stability and are designed for addition to PET
preforms or rPET to correct and reduce yellowing
that occurs during the recycling process.
These factors result in an
increased requirement for toners and specialized
solutions that are designed to withstand the
recycling process, and ensure optimum packaging
is achieved in terms of color and quality.

https://www.avient.com/sites/default/files/2022-04/Versaflex XP Wet Grip Product Bulletin_NEW.pdf
Tested against commonly used wet grip materials,
the Versaflex XP 2850 material demonstrated
exceptional wet kinetic COF performance—
showing more than a 100% improvement over the
competition—and better dry COF performance as
well.
The material may be injection molded,
overmolded or extruded, offering expanded design
freedom for adding a touch of security and reducing
slippage where water can otherwise make products
slippery
