Avient will feature its new Hammerhead™ FR Flame Retardant Composite Panels and its portfolio of advanced composite technologies at The NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas. LAS VEGAS — February 17, 2025 — Today, Avient Corporation, an innovator of materials solutions, announced it will highlight its comprehensive portfolio of advanced composite technologies, including its new Hammerhead™ FR Flame Retardant Composite Panels, at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas, Nevada, from February 24 to 26.  With modular construction emerging as a faster and more efficient building method, our Advanced Composites team identified an opportunity to bring the benefits of thermoplastic composite sandwich panels — well-known to our transportation and marine customers — into this space,” said Mike Mosley, General Manager of Advanced Composites at Avient.

Hammerhead™ marine composite panels reduce weight and increase durability versus wood in structural boat-building components, such as stringers and subfloors. Glasforms™ CRTM™ composite panels replace steel doors on railcar auto carriers, saving up to 300 lb. per railcar.

CLEVELAND – PolyOne today announced it will unveil Hammerhead™ Marine Composite Panels at the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) in Orlando, Fla. next week. Beyond weight reduction, Hammerhead panels can improve installation and labor productivity because they replace the typical wood, hand lay-up and vacuum assisted process with a consolidated, ready-to-install panel.
