CESA™ Nox additives
target the free radicals, terminating the oxidation
reactions and preserving the polymer properties
through one or more processing steps or cycles,
including recycling.
CESA Nox is particularly suited
to prevent further degradation of post-industrial and
post-consumer recycled materials, allowing for more
stable material and easier processing.

CASE STUDY: EXCELITE™ IM CHEMICAL FOAMING ADDITIVES
THE CHALLENGE
With more major OEMs introducing lightweighting
initiatives, the use of chemical foaming additives (CFAs)
is becoming more common among automotive injection
molders.
In this case, a top tier-1 automotive molder was
routinely running cycle times longer than originally
quoted, as inconsistencies in CFA performance were
creating processing issues and generating more scrap.
The molder achieved a finer, more uniform
cell structure, with a higher cell density, and was able to
maintain a Class-A surface finish.

Sustainable Material Answers™
Circular Economy
As climate change continues to be one of the defining issues of our time,
a commitment to sustainable solutions is essential—now more than
ever.
But it’s more than just transitioning to
renewable energies: it’s designing out waste and pollution before production and
manufacturing even begin.
To enable this transformation, more consumer education is needed.
https://www.avient.com/sites/default/files/2020-09/grips-translation-outdoor-application-bulletin.pdf
Outdoor enthusiasts today typically
seek out products that enable them to
do what they love more comfortably
and efficiently.
Some TPE formulas produce a more
secure grip, or you can make use of a custom texture
for improved handling.
Either way, adding a grip to
your outdoor gear gives consumers a more pleasing
overall experience.

Seeking to
create a more innovative and comfortable insole using
state-of-the-art materials, Gordon and his partner, Jeff
Milliman of Greenville Running Company, went to work.
Creating comfortable insoles for runners proved to
be more of a challenge than anticipated.
More than
25 years ago, Gordon and Jeff tried to develop a
commercially viable, molded composite outer sole
for a running shoe using carbon fiber and fiberglass
composites.

For more than 50 years, closurelogic GmbH has been
manufacturing aluminum closures in Germany.
The company is headquartered in Worms, Germany,
with subsidiaries in Spain and Turkey supplying more
than 50 countries worldwide.
Brand owners are seeking
more easily recycled materials, such as aluminum,
and closurelogic’s use of TPE cap liners satisfy all
three challenges—water quality, seal integrity and
sustainability.

Hager wanted to utilize more recycled plastic in its
products; however, the material needed to perform
to the same technical specification as Hager’s current
prime material.
The new recycled polyolefins have enabled
the replacement of fossil fuel-based feedstock with
more carbon-friendly recycled ocean-bound plastics.
