Hammerhead™ Composite Panels are made
from continuous glass-fiber reinforced
thermoplastic face sheets and polyester
foam cores.
Honeycomb panels are made from
polypropylene, making it easier to avoid
compromising the core during thermal
lamination.

In addition to production, color matching, and quality control capabilities for fiber applications, the site houses a showroom featuring an extensive assortment of sample mono-color polypropylene yarn pompoms.
Both polypropylene and polyester yarns in mono and three-color yarns can be spun on this line.
Light-weighting solutions that replace heavier traditional materials like metal, glass and wood, which can improve fuel efficiency in all modes of transportation and reduce carbon footprint

They realized they might be able to shave off even more
weight and improve performance by replacing the
aluminum braces with a continuous-fiber composite if
they could find a material with an exceptional strength-
to-weight ratio, high flexural stiffness, good torsional
rigidity, and superior fatigue strength.
The automated
pultrusion process fabricates continuous glass or carbon
fiber-reinforced, constant cross-section profiles with
consistent, uniform properties.
Each cradle brace is a two-foot long, rectangular bar
with a “U” shape machined into our engineering team
developed and analyzed three options: a unidirectional,
hybrid carbon and glass fiber profile; a unidirectional
carbon fiber profile; and finally, a profile made with both
a unidirectional carbon fiber and a transverse engineered
fabric, which had the advantage of minimizing any
potential cracks from propagating.
