Also known as transmission welding, laser welding
is the process of using focused laser radiation to
bond two plastic parts, one that is transparent to
the laser energy and one that absorbs the energy.
It
is a precise and clean process that produces high-
quality seams and adhesive-free assembly.
Avient uses a “systems approach” to develop the
laser welding solution most adapted to your project,

This new GLS™ Versaflex™ OM TPE material bonds tightly to nylon substrates to deliver a soft, yet resilient grip for safety, ergonomics and comfort.
Versaflex OM also allows for lower processing temperatures to achieve superior bond strength.
Using two-shot or insert molding, the material bonds tightly without adhesives to most standard nylons, as well as heat-stabilized, lubricated, glass-filled and impact-modified versions.
