Patterson has served as Chairman of Avient since 2016, and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Avient since 2014. Based on earlier successful projects, the OEM design team turned to Avient for a selection of suitable thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). For the mouse feet, Avient formulated a special grade of LubriOne™ filled acetal as an improvement over the neat acetal found in traditional designs. Together, the manufacturer and Avient settled on a final formulation that could utilize existing tooling, thereby avoiding additional costs.

The MPS incorporates Avient’s custom-formulated GlasArmor ballistic panels that meet Level 3 protection under Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 752 standards for ballistic resistance.
