Encompassing the most popular effects and additives, this portfolio offers dazzling shimmers, glitters, gels, texture effects, and performance-enhancing modifiers.  Avient Specialty Inks special effect inks and additives are commercially available globally.

New at Pharmapack are color and additive masterbatches based on a PE carrier that is manufactured using non-fossil feedstocks. Intended for use in polyolefins, styrenics, and copolymers, these medical-grade foaming agents are the first such additives to be produced under the MEVOPUR protocols.

Mevopur™ Healthcare Bio-based Polymer Solutions are color and performance-enhancing additive solutions specially formulated with bio-based polymers for healthcare applications. As concentrates, the color and additive polymer solutions are incorporated into the virgin polymer at a specific ratio (a.k.a. let-down ratio). As pre-colored formulations, they already contain the right amount of colorant and/or additive and can be used as such without dilution.

Additional iterations are in development for other high-performance resins, including polyethersulfone (PES) and polysulfone (PSU). This range of biocompatible and regulatory-compliant formulations answers a demand for cleaner, brighter colors in the healthcare space,” said Michael Garratt, president, Color, Additives & Inks, EMEA. They are tested to ISO 10993 standards, and can be customized with the addition of functional additives to enhance product performance.
