However,
when recycled bottles are not high enough quality to transform into new bottles or
packaging, rPET can be washed, heated, and stretched into fiber to create polyester yarn
and fabric.
You can create a multitude of items from polyester, such as clothing, shoes,
luggage, carpet, seat belts, and even bungee harnesses.

Certain things cannot be controlled by the printer:
• The dye in the shirt
• The humidity in the air and shirt
Things that can be controlled are:
• The type of ink – cotton white for cotton,
non-ghosting bleed resistant for polyester
• The amount of heat used on the garment—cure at
the recommended temp, not over
• Stack in separate piles to allow cooling—fold in
dozens separately, wait to pack
Be aware of at-risk colors; brown, tan and beige are
the most sensitive to possible ghosting.

ColorMatrix™ Optica™ Global PRT Toner Dispersions
Handling and Usage
ColorMatrix Optica Global PRT Red and Blue
dispersion toners are intended for use primarily
in PET bottle polymer production processes
and, although they are suitable for all polyester
manufacturing processes, are used successfully
throughout the world on all types of PET
production technologies.
