Melt Index Testing
Due to this unique viscosity/shear rate dependency, normal melt index testing (done at shear rates as low as 50 1/sec) will not reflect how the TPE will process at higher shear rates.
High shear rate viscosity testing done by GLS’s Quality Control Department (using a rheometer) accurately gauges the way our TPEs will perform at shear rates found during injection molding or extrusion.
