ColorMatrix™ Amosorb™ SolO2: a recyclable solution
Recyclability has become a fundamental
requirement for convertors and brand owners.

Avient undertook a recyclability study to show
how bottles containing 0.09% Fortis Amber-1 and

OnColor™ NIR Sortable Colorants for recyclable black

Utilizing the Social Plastic from Plastic
Bank, two new Maxxam™ REC Recycled Polyolefin
formulations were developed, one in each RAL
color requested.
The new grades were formulated to provide a
functional replacement for the previous used prime
materials while incorporating 50% recycled ocean-
bound plastic content.
The new recycled polyolefins have enabled
the replacement of fossil fuel-based feedstock with
more carbon-friendly recycled ocean-bound plastics.

ColorMatrix™ Amosorb™ 4020G is a non-nylon based
next generation oxygen scavenger for PET rigid
packaging with a reduction in haze and lower impact
on the recycle stream.
The EU’s directive for use of recycled PET (rPET)
in bottles will increase from 25% in 2025 to 30%
in 2030.
ColorMatrix Amosorb 4020G also lowers impact
on the PET recycle stream due to a reduction in
