Trilliant™ HC high performance formulations were
developed for specific healthcare enclosure needs,
including:
• Chemical resistance to common disinfectants
• UL 94 ratings of 5VA at 3.0, V-0 at 1.5 mm &
V-1 at 0.75 mm
• Retained color aesthetics after chemical
exposure
• Ability to utilize existing PC/PET & COPE tooling
Tested using an adaptation from ASTM D543 for
environmental stress cracking resistance (ESCR),
15 bars of each material were placed into jigs at
1% and 2% strain.
Fully fractured bars were given the
lowest rating.

The rate of increase is
dependent upon a number of factors, including
the plastisol formula, age and storage conditions.
While
at times this may seem desirable, exposure to
sources of heat will result in a faster rate of viscosity
increase, or even gelation (solidification) of the
plastisol.

Gel migration is measured using a quantitative internal method

Pressure: can affect extruder performance, higher pressure gives a lower output at the same rpm
Shear rate: has a relation with self-cleaning of the walls and mixing conditions

allows greater control over production tolerances,
which can lead to reduced scrap rates, improved
quality and optimized processing capabilities.
