This predictive simulation technology factors in conventional (isotropic) and advanced (anisotropic) modeling data from material characterizations, mold filling analysis, and finite element analysis (FEA).
Based on static and dynamic data, the virtual simulations can more accurately predict where an injection molded plastic part may crack or break when exposed to physical loading forces or a sudden impact (crash simulation).
Additionally, designers may access material data and models for a growing number of Avient’s fiber-reinforced solutions using Hexagon’s Digimat™- MX (Material Exchange) software platform.

This higher frequency range is required for faster data transfer, higher data capacity, and lower latency (i.e., data transmission times).

PolyOne Helps Leading Infant Care Brand Meet Stringent Food Safety Standards and Deliver on Brand Promise
We worked closely with this customer to understand the application’s needs and were able to formulate a solution that meets today’s increasingly rigorous food-contact safety requirements,” said Charles Page, director of global marketing, PolyOne GLS Thermoplastic Elastomers.

The most common post-surface manipulation is called “tapping”—the practice of placing a Teflon sheet over a cured print and hitting it with a transfer machine.
The sheet usually has a high gloss side and a satin side, and whichever side is used will impress a similar surface on the ink.
Using the gloss side is a great way to make a print look like an old-time transfer, while the satin side of the Teflon sheet is more widely-used as it gives the ink a smoother, softer hand.

The 5th generation of cellular networks (5G) is an emerging technology that will allow consumers to be more connected than ever before by allowing faster data transfer rates with lower delays and latency.
Using the test method reference from ASTM D2520 Part C, we generated repeatable data on the samples of four select formulations at the same four thicknesses, recording the average and median values for both dielectric constant (Dk) and dissipation factor (Df).
