Antistatic Additive
APPLICATION BULLETIN
Plastics often undergo charge build-up, which can
lead to handling problems and electrical discharges.
The Mevopur™ Healthcare Functional Additives
portfolio includes antistatic additives that reduce
the surface resistivity of polymers and the issues
caused by electrostatic charges.

Silcosperse™ Additive Dispersions
Flame Retardants
Silcosperse™ Additive Dispersions for flame
retardants that allow manufacturers to design with
increased confidence for critical flame and smoke
applications.
These silicone additive solutions
create a char or gas that reduces oxygen at the
source of flame, leading to components that
become self-extinguishing.
Using Silcosperse flame retardant
additives ensures that today’s stringent building
safety codes and other regulations are met.

Cesa™ Fiber Additives
for Heat Preservation
TECHNICAL BULLETIN
Avient’s new generation of heat-preservation additive
formulations for fiber and textile applications are
developed to help brands more easily meet demands
for lightweight and comfortable winter clothing,
sportswear and bedding.
Fabrics made with Cesa™ Fiber Additives for heat
preservation can absorb more heat than untreated
textile when exposed to simulated sunlight with
the wavelength from 320 to 1100nm.

Cesa™ Fiber Additives for stain resistance efficacy
are non-fluorine additive concentrates developed
for incorporation in the yarn during extrusion.
Color can be
added to the additive in a combination masterbatch
allowing for both color and stain resistance efficacy
to be integrated into the yarn during the spin-dyeing
(dope-dyeing) process.
The additive concentrates
are also formulated to not interfere with over-dyeing,
preserving the stain resistance effectiveness of bath-
dyed and piece-dyed yarns and textiles containing
our stain-resistant solution.
