A team of engineers from the supplier and the OEM met with Avient experts to look at possible polypropylene options.
Together they developed a specially formulated pre-colored talc-filled Maxxam™ PP material incorporating OnCap™ CTR Process Optimization Additive.
Working together, the supplier and Avient’s technical team also considered opportunities to optimize production.

The supplier’s exploratory journey ended when they found Avient’s Onflex™ S TPE with UV stabilization.
In addition, the high flow properties allowed Jäger to run the material in a TandemMold (a patented product of T/Mould GmbH), which effectively doubled production volume.
Global supplier DENSO, for example, was designing parts for an HVAC system and asked Avient to find a replacement for thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) material that would eliminate the need to pre-dry.

Depending on the application, Nylon Polyamide
and polyester can provide higher stretch properties if desired.
• Kinking
Unlike steel wire, synthetic fibers do not kink, resulting in a safer and
longer-lasting product.
