In order to have a masterbatch recognized by UL, the following conditions must be met: • the color concentrate producer must be recognized by UL • the polymer, generic or specific, must be recognized as well • the recognition of the material combination (base resin + color concentrate) must be listed in the QMSQ2 file of the concentrate producer • the specification limits set in the QMQS2 file must be respected if the UL94 recognition is to apply to the final plastic part Avient has a wide range of color and cost options available to provide maximum flexibility. For most updated information please refer to Avient UL recognized color concentrate file QMQS2 E73454. For V-0, V-1, V-2, 5VA and 5VB, the color concentrates have to be listed with reference to specific resin grades.

Cesa™ Fiber Additives Light Stabilizers for Synthetic Fibers and Nonwovens Non UV-stabilized fibers exposed to sunlight can suffer color fading and molecular changes that degrade their chemical and mechanical properties, leading to fraying and breakages. The Cesa™ Fiber Additives portfolio includes light-stabilizing and UV-absorbing concentrates for the spin-dyeing process. Unlike topical finishing treatments, which involve the addition of chemicals in a post-treatment water bath, the additive concentrates are incorporated into the polymer during spinning.
